The Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak to 10 games on Wednesday with a 136-119 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Nuggets’ offense got off to a hot start as they put up 37 points in the first quarter. But the Grizzlies shot the ball well themselves and put up 33 in the opening frame.
The second quarter saw a full momentum swing as Memphis strung together a few scoring runs. While keeping Nikola Jokic to limited shot attempts, the Grizzlies outscored the Nuggets by eight in the second frame.
As the third quarter began, Denver was able to force the Grizzlies into going cold. While Jokic found his teammates for open looks, Memphis struggled to score.
The Nuggets outscored the Grizzlies 39-22 in the third quarter to build a double-digit lead.
Both squads came out playing strong defense in the fourth quarter, which spelled bad news for the Grizzlies. Midway through the final period, the Nuggets put together a small scoring run to run away with the victory.
The Nuggets shot a blistering 62% from the field on the night.
Jokic only took eight shots, but sank five of them and put up 14 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Jamal Murray also had a strong night with 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
For the Grizzlies, Cedric Coward led the way with 27 points and six rebounds while Taylor Hendricks had 16 points and six rebounds.
The new 10-game streak is now the Nuggets’ longest winning streak since the 2012-13 season.
