At the surface, it appeared that the Timberwolves would have their way with the shorthanded Lakers, but Luka Doncic had other ideas. Doncic went off for 31 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals.

The Slovenian superstar led the Lakers to a 120-106 victory, while passing Kobe Bryant. This was Doncic’s sixth 30-point triple-double as a Laker, passing Bryant (five) for fifth-most in franchise history.
The Lakers were never in trouble during the game, largely due to Anthony Edwards‘ poor performance. He scored 14 points for the Timberwolves on 2-15 shooting, including a dismal 1-10 from downtown.
