After initially sending him an invite to their minicamp, the Baltimore Ravens are now signing former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia to a three-year deal, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Pavia was scheduled to work out for the team this week, but they decided to sign him in advance. The deal is reportedly for three years and the financial details have not been made public.
He led the Commodores to a program record 10 wins in 2025, racking up 3,539 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns.
But this weekend, Pavia became the first Heisman Trophy finalist since Jordan Lynch in 2014 to go undrafted. This is likely due to his height, measuring in at just 5’10”.
Attitude concerns and behavioral issues may have also played a factor in teams passing on Pavia. But these things don’t change what he can do with the ball in his hands.
The Ravens seemed to realize this and acted quickly to give him a roster spot.
