BREAKING: Cowboys sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a one-year deal

The Dallas Cowboys have signed WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a one-year deal. It is now Valdes-Scantling’s eighth team in his career.

Valdes-Scantling joins a deep WR room in Dallas. The Cowboys have CeeDee Lamb as the WR1 and are on the verge of franchise tagging George Pickens, who had a career year with the Cowboys last season. Valdes-Scantling may have to fight for some playing time as the WR3.

Despite having a strong start in his career, Valdes-Scantling is now on his fifth team in the last two seasons. He only appeared in 10 games last season, playing for the San Fransicsco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers. He had 14 catches for 120 yards and one touchdown.
