Spurs could explore getting Kevin Durant this summer

Durant proved this season he can still play at a high level, averaging 26.6 points per game for the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix is working with the two-time champion on finding a new home in the league. He’s accomplished a lot in his career, including a top-10 spot (No. 8) on the all-time scoring list in league history. Durant won his two championships and two NBA Finals Most Valuable Player honors for the Golden State Warriors. According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, Miami, Houston, San Antonio, and Minnesota are the four teams interested in Durant. The Spurs are the lone team in the group that did not make the playoffs.

Miami, Houston, and Minnesota feel they are a Durant away from winning a championship.

San Antonio has the most leverage to get Durant and pairing him with Victor Wembanyama could make them very scary.

We will see what occurs moving forward, but Durant has a decision to make soon.
