Kevin Durant

The Kevin Durant experience is over for the Phoenix Suns.

It had high aspirations of making a deep run in the playoffs with Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, but disappointment happened as Phoenix failed to achieve a winning season. Mike Budenholzer, a five-time NBA Champion, was fired after not getting the Suns to the playoffs. Phoenix wants to have Booker as its centerpiece for the future, but it is willing to help Durant find a new home this summer. The 36-year-old is still playing at the peak of his powers, getting buckets whenever he wants to.

Report: San Antonio Spurs could make a push for Kevin Durant to form a Big Three

Durant averaged 26.6 points, 52.7 percent shooting from the field, and 43 percent shooting from 3-point range in his third season with the Suns. The 15-time All-Star, four-time scoring champion, two-time NBA Champion, and two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player was sixth in the league in scoring, regardless of being shutdown the remainder of the regular season because of an ankle injury. He played in 145 career games with the team, but the 11-time All-NBA team selection could not get to the playoffs in Phoenix. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Suns are working with Durant’s team to deal him away in the summer.

It depends on whoever in the playoffs feels it is a Durant kind of player away from winning a championship that will pursue him.

He has a lot juice left in the tank, but which team is the best fit? We will find out soon enough where Durant’s next spot becomes.
