Longtime New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been voted into the team’s Hall of Fame, according to Wednesday’s announcement.

“Rob Gronkowski’s performance on the field was extraordinary, but it was his infectious energy and consistently positive presence that truly set him apart,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said in a statement. “He always brightened everyone’s day. He earned the respect of coaches and teammates through his work ethic, preparation and unselfish approach, while redefining what it meant to play his position. Rob became a fan favorite almost immediately and remained the standard at tight end for nearly a decade. We look forward to celebrating his induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame and, in time, the Pro Football Hall of Fame.”

Gronkowski was drafted by the Patriots in 2010 and went on to play nine seasons in New England. Over that span, he helped the Patriots win nine AFC East Division Championships, five AFC Championships and three Super Bowls.

He’s the team’s all-time leader in total touchdowns with 80 while ranking second in receiving yards with 7,861. Gronkowski ultimately made the Pro Bowl five times and was a four-time first-team All-Pro.

The candidates that he beat out in the fan vote were guard Logan Mankins and kicker Adam Vinatieri.

A date and time for the 2026 Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony has not yet been determined. Gronkowski will also be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2027.
