Late in the fourth quarter of the Hornets’ Saturday night loss to the Bucks, Charlotte forward Grant Williams went down with what appeared to be a non-contact leg injury. He had attempted a dribble drive against Brook Lopez, but his right knee had buckled as he prepared to jump.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Williams has a torn ACL along with other torn ligaments and a damaged meniscus. He is expected to be out for the remainder of this season.

Williams had established himself as a veteran presence in Charlotte’s young locker room and was consistently in the starting lineup prior to the injury.

The six-year veteran took to X on Sunday afternoon following the news.
“Appreciate all the love and support from those who have reached out. Time to go to work it’s all we can do,” Williams wrote.
This is far from the first time the Hornets have been plagued with injuries, but with nearly all of their bigs injured in some way, players like Tidjane Salaün and Moussa Diabaté will need to step up in a big way.
