Fans react to Magic Johnson’s no-look pass to Michael Jordan on Dream Team

USA defeated Croatia 117-85 in the gold medal game of the Barcelona Summer Olympics August 8, 1992. This was the original Dream Team, and was the first American Olympic team to feature active professional players from the NBA. The starting five consisted of Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen. The team has been described as one of the greatest sports team ever assembled

The Dream Team almost single-handedly made the game of basketball a global phenomenon. It featured the greatest players in the world, but none were bigger than Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.

When fans came to watch the Dream Team, they wanted to see two former rivals, Magic and Jordan, work together as teammates. They sure enough did, including Magic finding Jordan with a no-look pass, which Jordan finished with a slam dunk.

 

Fans quickly reacted to the highlight from Magic and Jordan.

 

 

 

 

 

A few fans mentioned that Magic may have peeked, making it not a true “no-look” pass. Still, it was an impressive sequence and fans loved seeing the connection Magic and Jordan had on the court together.
