The opening game of Saturday’s Final Four was a classic matchup in which the UConn Huskies took down the Illinois Fighting Illini, but what succeeded that game left many college basketball fans confused.

The electronic music duo “The Chainsmokers” performed a set of songs after the matchup concluded and before the Michigan Wolverines and Arizona Wildcats took the floor for pre-game warmups. The concert was polarizing, to say the least.

Many fans noted the odd timing and placement of the concert. Some fans were upset that the concert seemingly pushed back the Michigan-Arizona tip time, which was originally scheduled for 8:49 p.m. EST.

Media members were also reportedly told to leave the media box within five minutes of the first game concluding. They were later allowed back to their working area after the performance.

James Parker contributed to this story.
