The San Antonio Spurs played fantastic defense on Sunday to take down the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 and tie the Western Conference Finals 2-2.

OKC got on the board first, but it didn’t take long for San Antonio to establish a lead in the first quarter. After a relatively quiet Game 3, Victor Wembanyama made up for it on Sunday.
He led the way as the Spurs played strong defense in the opening frame. 12 minutes in, San Antonio led 28-19.
This elite defense continued into the second frame, keeping Shai Gilgeous-Alexander cool and holding OKC to 19 points in the second quarter as well.
In the closing seconds of the first half, Wembanyama swished a long-range heave from halfcourt to go up 50-38.
That electrifying play was seemingly the catalyst for a third-quarter takeover.
As the Thunder continued to struggle, the Spurs found more of a rhythm on offense and began building on the lead. While De’Aaron Fox wasn’t getting much going in terms of scoring, but he made an impact in other areas.
Wembanyama was more than willing to take on the scoring load, surpassing 30 points in three quarters.
In the final frame, OKC made a last-ditch comeback attempt, but their ice-cold shooting from everywhere on the floor made that an impossible task. San Antonio coasted through the final stretch and tied the series 2-2.
Wembanyama finished with an impressive 33 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
For the Thunder, Gilgeous-Alexander put up 19 points and seven assists on 6-of-15 shooting.
The series now heads back to OKC for Game 5 on Tuesday.
