The Detroit Pistons have shocked the league by being the best team in the Eastern Conference thus far in the season. On the day before Thanksgiving, they looked to extend their winning streak to 14 in a game against the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics won the NBA championship in 2024, but have struggled since. This is especially true due to the injury to Jayson Tatum. They still have Jaylen Brown, however.

Brown scored 33 points while adding 10 rebounds against the Pistons, helping to snap the Pistons win streak by defeating Detroit 117-114.

The Pistons star, Cade Cunningham, had an incredible game up until the end. He finished the game with 42 points while adding eight rebounds and five assists.

Cunningham drew a foul shooting a three-pointer with less than five seconds remaining and hit his first two attempts to cut the lead to one. He shockingly missed the third attempt, ending Detroit’s chance to send the game into overtime.
