Future NBA hall-of-famer Carmelo Anthony has recently revealed that he would be open to owning an NBA team, potentially alongside Dwyane Wade and LeBron James. On the newest episode of his podcast “7PM In Brooklyn”, the Knicks legend was asked what he thought about the idea.
“I would love it, that’s how you create what they talk about generational. You get what I’m saying: that’s generational, that’s legacy if we can do that,” Anthony said. “I don’t know how I’m open. I don’t know how open they are; everybody’s in their own situation.”

Luckily for Anthony, Wade is already a minority owner of the Utah Jazz as well as a part of the ownership group for the Chicago Sky.
For now, James continues to extend his already legendary NBA career. But his longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter recently made comments regarding James’ post-retirement plans.
“LeBron is dead set on owning an NBA team but he’s still playing. I have no idea how much longer he’s gonna play,” Carter said. “I would’ve thought he’d be done a few years ago but he’s still letting the young guys know that Grandpa’s still balling.”
While it may be a while, it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw these three NBA legends owning a franchise together.
