The Anaheim Ducks have traded star center Mason McTavish to the St. Louis Blues for two first-round picks in this year’s draft.

With pick 15, the Ducks acquired forward Nikita Klepov. Klepov will play at Michigan State next season.

McTavish signed a massive six-year, $42 million contract in September 2025. However, after a regressive season, the Ducks have decided to move on. He finished with 17 goals and 24 assists across 75 games last season. McTavish has spent his entire four-year career with the Ducks.

As for the Blues, they need a center, which is exactly what McTavish is. He is also flexible and can play on the wing if needed, especially on the second or third line.

McTavish has 77 goals and 104 assists in 304 career games.
