The Colorado Avalanche have dealt forward Valeri Nichushkin to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a total of three draft picks. Nichushkin scored 17 goals and 49 assists in 72 games last season.

Nichushkin, who is 31, has spent the past seven seasons in Colorado. He has tallied a total of 131 goals and 152 assists across 404 games for the Avalanche. He also had 15 points across 20 games for the Avalanche’s 2022 Stanley Cup Final run.

The Avalanche have now completed three trades this offseason. They sent Ross Colton and Isak Posch to the Nashville Predators on June 16. Then, Jack Drury and Chase Bradley were also sent to the Predators on June 24.

In return for trading Nichushkin to the Blue Jackets, the Avalanche receive a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 third-round pick, and a 2028 fifth-round pick.
