Luka Doncic is staying put in LA. He has signed a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the Lakers.

There were some doubts whether Doncic would stay in LA, as he was visibly upset that the Dallas Mavericks traded him. Doncic’s contract extension has now put that rumor to rest.

Doncic’s three-year, $165 million contract extension comes with a player option in the 2028-29 season. This means Doncic is locked into being a Laker for at least the next three seasons.

Lakers fans are rejoicing as they certainly found their next star to replace LeBron James once he retires.
