After Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby was granted an injunction to return for another season of college football, shockwaves were sent throughout the sport. Sorsby had admitted to placing bets on games while playing at Indiana and Cincinnati where he reportedly wagered $90,000 over four years.

This now adds to a long list of blemishes the NCAA continues to overlook as the sport continues to (de)evolve.

The ruling even has former players long removed from action trolling the sport to see if they would get another season of eligibility.

One of those players was former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu who joked about asking to return to college football.

Mathieu, 34, retired after a 12-year career in the NFL last July and has not played for the Tigers since 2011.

Even then, no one can truly rule out if Mathieu’s request would be denied in today’s day in age.
