The Philadelphia 76ers spoiled the New York Knicks’ bounce-back bid with a commanding 130-119 victory at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. Tyrese Maxey led the charge for Philly, pouring in a game-high 36 points as the visitors dominated the last three quarters to improve to 19-14.
Coming off a lethargic loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Knicks (now 23-12) struggled to contain Philadelphia’s explosive offense. Jalen Brunson kept New York in it with his 31 points, but defensive lapses and fatigue from a back-to-back proved costly.
