Spurs forward Zach Collins flips off referee after ejection

San Antonio Spurs forward Zach Collins was ejected during the second quarter of Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings after receiving two technical fouls. In response, Collins made a gesture towards the officials that is likely to result in a fine from the league.

The exchange can be seen below:

On the season, Collins is averaging just 6.2 points per game and the Spurs would go on to lose the contest 140-113.

Friday night’s ejection marks the third straight game that a Kings opponent has been ejected. Collins is preceded by Ja Morant, who was ejected on Thursday, as well as Tari Eason and Rockets HC Ime Udoka on Tuesday.

While players engage with officials often, it’s very rare that a player gives an official the middle finger after being ejected. It’s only speculation, but Collins will likely receive a fine and potentially a suspension from the NBA as a result.
