Seahawks, Chiefs Top Week 9 NFL Survivor Pool Picks

With just 1.9% of ESPN Survivor entries remaining, analysts rank Seattle and Kansas City as the optimal Week 9 picks due to high win odds and low selection rates.

The Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs are the top two recommended picks for NFL survivor pools in Week 9, according to ESPN’s weekly survivor strategy analysis released Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

The Seahawks rank first with an 82% win probability per ESPN Analytics. They host the Arizona Cardinals as 12.5-point favorites and carry a -700 moneyline. Though 81% of entrants still have Seattle available, only 17% had selected them as of Wednesday morning.

The Chiefs rank second with an 80% win probability per ESPN Analytics. They play the New York Jets as 9.5-point favorites with a -575 moneyline. Just 12% of ESPN Survivor entrants had chosen Kansas City, and only 28% still have the Chiefs available — making this a high-leverage week to use them. Their next strong matchup is not until Week 11 versus the Cardinals.

The San Francisco 49ers rank third with an 84% win probability per ESPN Analytics against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Jacksonville Jaguars rank fourth with an 81% win probability per ESPN Analytics against the Baltimore Ravens in a Thursday night game. The Chicago Bears rank fifth with a 63% win probability per ESPN Analytics versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Dallas Cowboys rank sixth with a 61% win probability per ESPN Analytics at the Indianapolis Colts.

The Detroit Lions — at 31% ESPN selection rate for their road game against the Miami Dolphins — are explicitly advised against as an overselected option. Their 78% win probability per ESPN Analytics does not justify the high ownership relative to alternatives like Seattle or Kansas City.

Only 1.9% of total ESPN Survivor entries remain entering Week 9. A Cincinnati Bengals overtime win over the Tennessee Titans saved 27% of remaining entries last week. The Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals — after blowing a 14-point fourth-quarter lead at home — eliminated another 13% of entrants.
