WATCH: No. 22 St. John’s takes down No. 3 UConn

The No. 22 St. John’s Red Storm narrowly defeated the No. 3 UConn Huskies 81-72 in a thrilling matchup on Friday.

Senior forward Zuby Ejiofor led the way for St. John’s with 21 points, ten rebounds, seven assists and three blocks.

For the Huskies, junior guard Silas Demary Jr. put up 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists, but had nine turnovers.

The win marked the 903rd career victory for head coach Rick Pitino, tying Roy Williams for third in all-time career wins.

The Red Storm will now look towards their matchup against Xavier on Monday while the Huskies will face Butler on Wednesday.
