The ending of the streak raised the question of when it began. The answer to this would be January 6, 2007. On January 5 of that year, LeBron’s Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks, and LeBron scored eight points on 3-13 shooting.
Like his recent game against the Raptors, LeBron’s team won the game despite failing to reach double-digit scoring. The next night against the New Jersey Nets, LeBron would score 19 points, and that would start the incredible regular season* streak of 1,297 double-digit scoring games (during that time, LeBron failed to reach double-digits twice in the playoffs).
