The Valkyries defeated the Atlanta Dream 68–63 in Game 7 of the WNBA Finals — the first Game 7 in league history.

Golden State Valkyries president Jess Smith said the event honored fans who filled Ballhalla for every home game and traveled to road contests.

The Valkyries entered the league in 2024. Their 2026 title makes them the third team across the NBA, BAA and WNBA to win a championship within its first two seasons, per the Elias Sports Bureau.

They are the first WNBA team to win a title without an All-WNBA selection on its roster.
