Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey, who is likely a top-five pick in the upcoming draft, visited the Tennessee Titans last week. The Titans hold the No. 4 overall pick in the draft.
Bailey spent his final season with the Red Raiders following three seasons with the Stanford Cardinals. He finished with 14.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for a loss, both of which led the NCAAF. He was also named an All-American and helped Texas Tech to its first-ever Big 12 Championship.
For the Titans, adding Bailey would be another huge boost to the defense. The franchise splurged on defensive free agents this season, signing John Franklin-Myers, Alontae Taylor, Cordale Flott, and acquired Jermaine Johnson via trade. Adding Bailey would strengthen an already strong defensive line.
The Titans are looking to rebound after a tough 2025-26 season. The team finished 3-14, and was last in the AFC South. They also fired head coach Brian Callahan after a 1-5 start, finishing with a 4-19 record over two seasons. The team announced Robert Saleh as its new head coach in January, making him the 22nd coach in franchise history.
