The second game of the Denver Nuggets vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder was over before it really got going. OKC set the record for the most points scored in a postseason first-half with 87.

Yes, the score at halftime was 87-56. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 18 while dishing out seven first-half assists. Nikola Jokic had 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, but there wasn’t anything he could do to stop this onslaught.

Denver would not get any closer in the second half as this game belonged to the Thunder. It was Jokic proving to everyone why he should be MVP with his monster performance in Game 1.

Game 2 was Gilgeous-Alexander’s turn to plead his case—boy did he ever. SGA led the Thunder to a 149-106 victory while scoring 34 points on 11-13 shooting and adding eight assists. The most impressive stat was his plus-minus rating, which was a game-best +51.

Jokic finished the game with 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Despite the embarrassing loss, Jokic and the Nuggets can hold their heads high knowing they got the split in Oklahoma City.

The series shifts to Denver for Game 3 this Friday at 10:00 PM EST.
