Known as one of the most unique players in MLB history, Gore played 49 career games before recording a single hit. Instead of hitting dingers, he established himself as the fastest player in the world and stole 21 bases over that span.
He stole 43 total bases throughout his 112 career games.
Gore wasn’t a major game-changer in the regular season, but often came up big as a pinch runner in the playoffs. He was a part of the Kansas City Royals’ 2015 World Series win and went on to win another with the L.A. Dodgers in 2020 and a third with the Atlanta Braves in 2021.
His profound impact on the baseball world is evident as the sports community mourns his passing and remembers his life.
