Switzerland wouldn’t score their first goal of the match until the 74th minute.

But afterwards, they wouldn’t stop, surging past Bosnia late in 4-1 win.

The Swiss looked to take home a win after conceding a stoppage-time goal late against Qatar in their first match.

The opening minutes of the match saw both Switzerland and Bosnia create offensive opportunities.

But as the match progressed, the Swiss would begin to settle in.

In the 20th minute, Bosnian Nikola Vasilj goalkeeper would be forced to make his first save of the match.

Switzerland’s Dan Ndoye would deliver a softly struck ball onto net where Vasilj easily made the save.

With the Bosnians being forced on the defensive for a majority of the half, it would take them until the 38th to find their first shot on net.

Amar Memic would try his luck from range, firing a strike from 31 yards out.

But Swiss goalkeeper Gregor Kobel would have no trouble corralling the strike.

While the Swiss held the press for a majority of the half, they would not be able to find the back of the net.

The half came a close with neither side being able to tally a goal onto the board.

The second half was much like the first, for both sides early on.

With Switzerland trying to find anything on offense, while the Bosnians stood firm inside their own box.

Ndoye would force just the second save of the day for Vasilj in the 51st minute.

The match saw its first really nail biter in the 62nd minute.

A Swiss corner saw Breel Embolo head an attempt onto net at the front post.

But Vasilj would knock it away to keep the deadlock even at 0.

In the 68th minute, a Bosnian opportunity nearly put them on top.

A rocket off the foot of Amar Dedic would see the ball deflected dangerously back into the box.

But luckily for the Swiss, it was swiftly cleared away before any damage could be done.

But Switzerland would continue to search for their chance to break the deadlock.

In the 74th minute, a looping pass into the box was cleared by a Bosnian defender.

But only as far as Johan Manzambi who would strike the ball midair, depositing it right into the Bosnian net.

The golazo came just two minutes have Manzambi would be subbed on.

The news for the Bosnians would only get worse as the half progressed.

In the 80th minute, Switzerland’s Breel Embolo would find himself through onto goal.

A tackle by Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic saw an immediate red card from referee João Pinheiro, the fourth of the tournament.

Just four minutes later, Switzerland would all but put the game away.

Rubén Vargas would find a pass inside the box and curled the strike right around Vasilj.

But Switzerland wasn’t content with just two.

Manzambi would secure himself a brace following a Vargas cross into the box, which he tapped home for his second and the third of the match for Switzerland.

But Bosnia would not leave this match empty handed.

21-year-old Ermin Mahmic would sting an absolute rocket onto net following a clearance on a Bosnian corner.

The shot would rip into the back of the net, clawing one back for the Bosnians.

But almost in cruel twist of fate, Switzerland would get the last laugh.

A foul committed in the box by Memic would give Switzerland a penalty kick right at the death.

Granit Xhaka would step up to the spot, looking to tally the Swisses fourth goal of the match.

Vasilj would guess correctly, but Xhaka would deliver a perfect strike, slotting it into the bottom right corner.

Switzerland would take the match by a final score of 4-1.

Bosnia and Switzerland will both play their final group stage match at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

While their tournament hopes are still alive, Bosnia will most likely need a big win in their next match against Qatar to push themselves into the knockout stage.

As for Switzerland, a win or draw against Canada will almost certainly see them through to the round of 32.
