Team USA’s Olympic men’s basketball team recently returned from a tremendous gold medal run that saw the likes of Stephen Curry and LeBron James playing side by side. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had the honor of coaching this year’s Olympic team and he recently spoke to NBA.com about what it was like to coach James.
“It’s equally as gratifying, but totally different in that it’s a five-week sprint,” Kerr said. “You’re coaching guys that you’ve been coaching against. I loved getting to know these guys. LeBron was so incredible, just in his preparation. Engagement in every practice and every meeting, he was amazing.”

Kerr also praised the team for making personal sacrifices in order to win.
“Up and down the roster, these guys are superstars in their own right and then to see them sacrificing, it’s inspiring,” Steve Kerr said.
Kerr’s Warriors faced off against James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the finals four times in a row from 2015 to 2018, winning three of them.
