Paul Pierce says Stephen Curry passes LeBron James in GOAT talk with fifth title

Could the greatest of all time conversation in the NBA take an interesting turn?

LeBron James is in the talk with Michael Jordan as arguably the greatest player ever.

Jimmy Butler pays ultimate respect to Stephen Curry: “That is my Batman”

He has four NBA Championship rings, but someone else is tied with James who is chasing Jordan. Stephen Curry, 37, is a four-time champion and 2022 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. The 11-time All-Star, two-time league MVP, two-time NBA scoring champion, and 10-time All-NBA team selection changed the culture of basketball with his shot-making abilities. He has the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference playoffs as the No. 7 seed facing Houston in the first round. Curry could have another cinematic matchup against James for NBA supremacy, but will he pass up the 40-year-old in the GOAT debate?

Paul Pierce, a 2008 NBA Champion, says uncomfortable conversations must happen among “LeBron fans” if Curry gets his fifth championship this season.

“We’re going to start putting Steph up there with Michael Jordan,” Pierce said on SPEAK.

“If he wins one more, think about that, he would win the era. What era is this? It is the LeBron, KD [Kevin Durant], and Curry era. If he gets five championships and an unanimous MVP, and LeBron stays at four … it is going to get real uncomfortable.”

Curry has opportunity to upend James in the biggest debate in basketball.

We will see how he performs as Saturday starts round one of the playoffs.
