OKC’s Sam Presti won NBA 2024-25 Executive of the Year award

Thunder general manager Sam Presti speaks during an introductory press conference for the 2024 Thunder draft picks at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center in Oklahoma City on Saturday, June, 29, 2024.

Oklahoma City is down 2-1 in its second round Western Conference playoff series against Denver.

The Thunder entered the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the conference and boasted the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. After earning a sweep over the Memphis Grizzlies, OKC is trying to get itself into the Western Conference Finals. Sam Presti, who has served as general manager of the Thunder since 2007, is going after his fourth NBA title as an executive. He captured three NBA titles (2003, 2005, and 2007) as an assistant general manager for the San Antonio Spurs.

Kings add longtime NBA coach Mike Woodson to its staff as associate head coach

Presti won NBA Executive of the Year for his efforts this season.

The 47-year-old serves as executive vice president and general manager of the Thunder.

Presti has his sights locked in on hoisting a Larry O’Brien trophy.
