The Detroit Pistons have been the best team in the Eastern Conference all season long. If you saw their performance on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks, you may not believe that statement.

Detroit looked sloppy all game long. They committed 22 turnovers in the game and shot just 44.2% from the field. This includes an abysmal 19.2% from three.

Still, the Pistons had Cade Cunningham. The Pistons star scored 18 points while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out eight assists. More impressively, he stole the ball six times. He also made the play of the game.

The Pistons held on to win 99-98 thanks to Cunningham’s last two huge buckets, keeping the Hawks at bay. Detroit improves to 17-4 on the season.
