Led by another masterful performance from Cade Cunningham, who delivered MVP-caliber scoring and playmaking with 32 points and 10 assists, the Pistons overcame a 12-point first-half deficit.
Detroit’s bench proved decisive, outscoring Boston’s reserves 47-14. The Celtics struggled mightily from beyond the arc, going a dismal 10-39 on three-pointers.
Jaylen Brown and Derrick White carried much of the load for Boston, with Brown scoring 34 and White adding 31. Still, it wouldn’t be enough as the Celtics drop to 15-11 on the season, while the Pistons improve to 21-5.
