The NHL launched its Hometown Remix alternate jerseys for all 32 teams on Monday, November 2, 2026. Players wore the new uniforms in games that night.
The one-season program features designs created by Fanatics, the league’s official outfitter of on-ice uniforms and authentic jerseys since the 2024–25 season. It is Fanatics’ first league-wide alternate jersey initiative.

NHL chief branding officer Brian Jennings said early sales bookings for the Hometown Remix line are four times larger than those for Adidas’ second Reverse Retro campaign. Fanatics chose a “hyper local” approach — drawing on regional landmarks, cultural elements and franchise history — instead of reviving past looks.
The Florida Panthers’ jersey uses pink or coral as its primary base color, the first time an NHL team has done so. Panthers president of business operations Mike White told ESPN the design reflects South Florida’s distinct identity.
The Philadelphia Flyers’ jersey honors the Liberty Bell, incorporating its inscription on the sleeves and referencing America’s 250th birthday on the hem. The Pittsburgh Penguins’ version uses bold pop art styling, developed after multiple design rounds with the team. San Jose Sharks’ jerseys feature a revised logo and sleeves patterned with shark jaws — a nod to the shark-head tunnel at their arena.
More than two dozen images of the jerseys circulated on social media before the official reveal. Jennings called the design process “extraordinary” and said the full effect would be visible when players wear the jerseys under game lights.
The jerseys will appear in 261 regular-season games during the 2026–27 season, including 19 contests where both teams wear their Hometown Remix uniforms.
