The New York Giants announced on Monday that they are retaining general manager Joe Schoen.
Schoen was actually considered to be on the hot seat after head coach Brian Daboll was fired last month, but the Giants clearly believe in the 46-year-old.

“The 2025 season has been deeply disappointing, and the results on the field have not lived up to the standard this organization and our fans expect,” the team said in a statement. “Continuity and stability in the front office is important to our progress. We believe in our young core of talent, which we can build around for future success.”
This season was certainly an ugly one for New York, finishing with a record of 4-13. During Schoen’s tenure, the Giants are 22-45-1 overall.
Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has been a lone bright spot for the Giants, who have a record of just 7-27 over the last two seasons.
With a little more newfound job security, Schoen will now lead the team’s search for a new head coach.
