NBA journalist on 2025 NBA Finals: “I’m not that excited”

The NBA Finals are here, and they feature two teams from small markets. For some, this is a good thing, for a certain journalist, it’s not.

Journalist Jason McIntyre, who is co-host of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, had this to say about his enthusiasm for this year’s Finals.

“I’m not that excited for these NBA Finals. I like superstars in the NBA Finals and we don’t really have that… I’m gonna bash Adam Silver here…you’re the reason we’ve got this.”

This statement by McIntyre is a bit odd. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, this year’s MVP, is certainly a superstar player. He’s proven this by his play over the past few seasons.

Tyrese Haliburton has arguably become the most exciting player in this year’s playoffs. If he’s not considered a superstar yet, he’s certainly on his way.

The Finals should be exciting, and competitive. These are the ingredients of an NBA Finals you wouldn’t want to miss.
