NBA fans react to Ja Morant injury update

The Memphis Grizzlies shocked the NBA world this week when they fired head coach Taylor Jenkins with just a handful of games left in the regular season and the playoffs approaching.

With star guard Ja Morant sidelined for their previous six games, the Grizzlies are looking for get back on track against the Lakers on Saturday. Ahead of their first game without Taylor Jenkins, Morant has officially been upgraded to questionable.

Over the last few seasons, a trend has emerged amongst NBA fans, who noticed a pattern of injured players who always seem to return from injury when they face the Lakers. Saturday’s announcement was no different, prompting fans to chime in.

Morant is averaging 22.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 29.1% from three this season, leading Memphis to a 44-29 record and the 5th seed in the West.
