NBA 2025-26 opening schedule released

The 2025-26 full NBA schedule will be released on Thursday, August 14. Today, the league has released its schedule for opening night, as well as Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The NBA released its Christmas Day schedule a few days ago, showcasing great matchups like the Houston Rockets taking on the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, fans know which games they’ll be able to watch on opening night, as well as opening week. This includes the return of the NBA on NBC.

 

On Tuesday, October 21, the Oklahoma City Thunder take on Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets at 7:30 PM EST. Following that game will be the Golden State Warriors playing the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:00 PM EST.

 

 

We have also learned what games will be played for the remainder of opening week.

Wednesday, Oct. 22

Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks, 7:00 PM EST, on ESPN.

San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks, 9:30 PM EST, on ESPN.

 

Thursday, Oct. 23

Oklahoma City Thunder at Indiana Pacers, 7:30 PM EST, on ESPN.

Denver Nuggets at Golden State Warriors, 10:00 PM EST, on ESPN.

 

Monday, Oct. 27

Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons, 7:00 PM EST, on Peacock.

Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves, 9:30 PM EST, on Peacock.

 

 

The NBA has also given us its schedule for MLK Day games.

 

Monday, Jan. 19

Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks, 1:00 PM EST, on Peacock.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Cleveland Cavaliers, 2:30 PM EST, on NBC.

 

As we now know part of the schedule for the 2025-26 NBA season, there’s one question that needs to be asked.
