Ever since LaVar Ball brought his Big Baller Brand into the national spotlight, all eyes were not only on him but on his sons as well.

LiAngelo Ball recently signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Charlotte Hornets. There’s now a chance we’ll see all three Ball brothers on an NBA court.

As of now, LiAngelo is yet to play a game in the NBA. Lonzo and LaMelo, of course, have. Lonzo began his career in the 2017-18 season after being drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers.

LaMelo was drafted third overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2020 NBA Draft. He has instantly brought excitement to the city of Charlotte. LiAngelo teaming up with LaMelo is something special for LaVar and his family.

Lonzo vs. LaMelo: head to head

Since Lonzo and LaMelo are the two current NBA players that have actually played a game in the league, a question has crossed our minds: between the two Ball brothers, who has the better record? Then, we wondered which Ball brother had outperformed the other.

After some research, we here at Ball Exclusives have discovered that Lonzo and LaMelo have played each other only three times, with Lonzo coming out on top with a 2-1 record. Despite having the better team record, Lonzo comes up short in the individual matchup, as LaMelo has put up better stats.

Here’s a breakdown of their stats in their three head-to-head matchups:

Lonzo: 11.0 points per game, 2.0 rebounds per game, 5.7 assists per game, 0.7 steals per game, 0.7 blocks per game.

LaMelo: 17.3 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, 9.0 assists per game, 1.7 steals per game, 0.3 blocks per game.

LaMelo has been the better player. He’s also played on the weaker team. Lonzo now needs a second surgery and the reported time he’ll miss being four to six weeks.

This leads to our last question: when will Lonzo return to the court to try to earn more wins against LaMelo?

As fans of the game, we hope sooner than later. This could potentially turn into a great sibling rivalry, and we fans are ready for it.
