LeBron James is getting ready to suit up for his 20th Christmas Day game, but if you ask him, he’d rather be home.

“I’d much rather be at home with my family,” LeBron said. “But it’s the game, the game I love. It’s the game I watched when I was a kid on Christmas Day, watching a lot of the greatest to play the game on Christmas. It’s always been an honor to play it.

“Obviously, I’m going to be completely honest, I would like to be home on the couch with my family all throughout the day. But my number is called, our numbers are called, so we have to go out and perform. And I look forward to it.”

Even though LeBron’s opinion about playing on Christmas is understandable, as he is a father and husband, some fans took exception to it. Ultimately, LeBron did mention that he “looks forward to it” so the all-time scoring leader will be ready to perform.

LeBron’s Los Angeles Lakers will face Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets on Christmas Day. Even though he would rather be home, LeBron will look to deliver his team the present of a win.
