The Baltimore Ravens began their voluntary offseason workouts on Monday. After years of skipping out on most of these workouts, star quarterback Lamar Jackson just pulled up on day one.
While his presence at these workouts may seem unremarkable at first glance, it’s a major signal from Jackson to the Ravens’ new staff that he’s bought in and ready to work.
His absence from these workouts in recent years has been a major talking point among fans and the media. Those narratives can now be put to rest as it seems Jackson is more focused now than ever.
Monday’s arrival is a good sign for both Jackson and the Ravens. He’s battled injuries his entire career and particularly last season. It’s clear that he’s not playing around about getting healthy and in game form for next season.
The 29-year-old is a two-time league MVP, but had a difficult season last year and recorded career lows in multiple areas. The Ravens finished at just 8-9 last season and barely missed out on the AFC North Division title.
Baltimore brought in Jesse Minter to replace John Harbaugh as head coach in January. Minter brought in new offensive and defensive coordinators as well as an entire new team system after a disappointing 2025 campaign.
With the new regime in place and Jackson showing up on day one of voluntary workouts, the Ravens look poised to make a major splash next season.
