Doncic set the tone early with 20 points in the first quarter. The Lakers, meanwhile, locked in defensively and caught fire from beyond the arc, as Rui Hachimura and Dalton Knecht each buried three-pointers to build an impressive 46-27 lead heading into the second quarter.
The Lakers continued to roll past the Pelicans leading by as much as 26 points at one point in the game. LA won 133-121.
Doncic scored 34 points, along with 12 rebounds and seven assists. Austin Reaves contributed 33 points and eight assists, while Deandre Ayton posted 22 points and 12 rebounds.
