Joel Embiid made his return to the Philadelphia 76ers and the Atlanta Hawks were ready. Embiid played 30 minutes, scoring 18 points and grabbing four rebounds.

The leader for the 76ers all season long has been Tyrese Maxey and that was no different tonight. He scored 44 points while adding seven rebounds and nine assists.
The problem for Maxey and the 76ers was Jalen Johnson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker came to play for the Hawks. Johnson scored a career-high 41 points while adding 14 rebounds and seven assists. Alexander-Walker added 34 points and eight rebounds, and seven assists.
The game would end up going into double overtime with a late whistle that helped Atlanta extend the game. The Hawks ended up winning 142-134.
Philadelphia drops to 10-9 on the season while Atlanta improves to 13-8.
