Kevin Durant “rejoices” over stopping Cavs dynasty

The Golden State Warriors established themselves as a dynasty in the mid to late 2010s. However, it’s possible that the Cleveland Cavaliers could have achieved that status instead.

The Cavaliers’ chances of becoming a dynasty faded largely due to one player: Kevin Durant.

A fan recently expressed his disgust with Durant on social media over his decision to join the Warriors, ending all hopes for a Cavs dynasty. Durant responded stating that he “rejoices” in the fact he stopped Cleveland from becoming a powerhouse in the NBA.

Durant absolutely stopped a Cavaliers dynasty when he joined the Warriors. If he hadn’t, the GOAT debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan would’ve been over a long time ago as LeBron likely would have six or seven championships to his name.
