John Stockton trashes today’s NBA players

John Stockton is not a fan of today’s NBA. He, like a lot of older players, as well as fans, believes the current generation has it easy.

Stockton, who missed only 22 games due to injury during his 19-year NBA career, recently spoke about today’s NBA players and their love of load management.

“It’s softer… guys can take 20 days off. Load management? Imagine telling your dad, ‘I’m taking a few weeks off work.’ Who’s gonna feed us then? These guys do it.”

Stockton’s words may come off a bit harsh, but they are, in fact, true. Today’s players have more advanced training equipment, private jets, and nutrition than the players of the past ever had.

There should be no reason a player misses a game if he isn’t hurt. Fans pay good money to see these players perform, and they should make sure they’re available, if healthy.
