Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has had a summer to remember. He’s become an NBA champion, olympic gold medalist and published author just in the last few months. He seems to be confident that his success will continue, as he recently appeared on “The Tonight Show” to promote his new children’s book as well as to make a bold prediction about next year’s Finals.
“It’s gonna be a rematch,” Tatum said. “We’re gonna play Dallas again.”

Tatum was also the cover athlete for NBA 2k25. According to Tatum, that might take the cake for the coolest thing he’s accomplished this year.
“That might be the coolest thing,” Tatum said. “Just as a kid, every kid grew up playing NBA 2K. First, you dream about being in the game, and that happens in your rookie year. Then, the top of the mountain is being on the cover. Just seeing now is a surreal feeling. It’s incredible.”

The Celtics defeated the Mavericks in the 2024 Finals in five games, with Tatum averaging 22.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. Time will only tell whether or not we see the same two squads going head to head next June.
