The New York Knicks lost to the Utah Jazz 121-106 on Saturday after what started out as a close game. Both teams started the game with a balanced effort and it was tied at 28 after the first quarter.
The second quarter belonged to the Jazz as they went into halftime with a 66-51 lead. In spite of New York’s attempted comebacks, Utah held their lead until the end of the match.

Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen put up a scorching 34 points and nine rebounds on 11-of-15 shooting. Collin Sexton was also a key factor with 25 points (20 in the second half) and five assists.

New York star Jalen Brunson struggled on Saturday, putting up 20 points on 2-of-9 shooting from three. OG Anunoby had a strong performance with 27 points, three steals and two blocks.
New York’s bench, which is already last in the league in scoring, put up just 16 points during Saturday’s matchup.
The Knicks will travel to Denver and play the Nuggets on Monday while the Jazz are off until Tuesday, when they will host the San Antonio Spurs.
