Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has had a difficult year or so. After returning from a 25-game suspension, he appeared in just nine games last season before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury.
During Monday’s preseason matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, Morant went down with an ankle injury and headed to the locker room. Luckily, the Grizzlies were able to give an update on the injury.

He also added that the Grizzlies are being cautious with Morant’s ankle, meaning he may miss multiple preseason games to ensure his health on opening day.
Regardless, Morant’s ankle is something to monitor, given his explosive play style and intensity. The Memphis Grizzlies will kick off their regular season on Oct. 23 against the Utah Jazz.
