Germany ended their final international friendly by taking home a well-earned 2-1 win over the U.S.
The USMNT falls to Germany in their final match ahead of the World Cup.

The Germans got the scoring started early with a second minute, Kai Havertz headed in a beautiful looping pass from a set piece just outside the box to put Germany up right out the gate.
The game remained a 1-0 until a corner from U.S. captain Christian Pulisic took a deflection in the box. It found Antonee Robinson just outside the semi-circle.
Robinson struck the ball mid-air, firing in what has to be one of the greatest goals in USMNT history.
The game entered the second half at one a piece. But in the 57th minute, Leroy Sané would fire a perfectly placed strike from inside the box through the legs of U.S. defender Miles Robinson and past a diving Matt Freese into the bottom left corner to give Germany the lead and the win.
Germany will start their 2026 edition of the World Cup facing off against Curaçao at 1 p.m. on June 14.
As for the U.S., they’ll take on Paraguay at 9 p.m. on Friday. The two nations met in the group stage of the 2024 Copa America where tempers flared as Paraguay took home a 2-1 win. It will be interesting to see if both countries carry those same emotions onto the world’s largest stage Friday night.
