The Netherlands put on a show Saturday with a dominant 5-1 victory over Sweden, which entered the match at the top of Group F.

After just five minutes, the Dutch took the lead when Brian Brobbey scored off a pass from Cody Gakpo. Just 11 minutes later, Brobbey kept it going with another goal inside the box to make it 2-0 for the Dutch.

While the Swedes continued to struggle for control, the Netherlands continued to pile it on. Two minutes into the second half, Cody Gakpo got going with a goal after the Dutch carved through Sweden’s defense.

Just seven minutes later, he got ahead of the defenders for a 19-yard goal to go up 4-0.

In the 59th minute, Sweden finally got on the board when Anthony Elanga found the net, but the Dutch weren’t done with their beatdown just yet.

Strong defense prevailed until the 89th minute, when Crysencio Summerville put the icing on the cake with a 21-yard goal to seal the 5-1 victory.

As the Netherlands emerged victorious and took control of Group F, fans online were both stunned and impressed by the matchup.
