The writing had been on the wall for months signaling an eventual breakup between AJ Brown and the Eagles which came in the form of a trade to the Patriots last week.
It appears as if both sides are now eager to move on with head coach Nick Sirianni sharing his thoughts on Brown’s time with the Eagles and the trade that ensued.

“I would say that it was a lot of good years,” Sirianni said according to NFL.com. “Done a lot of good things with AJ here. Two times in the Super Bowl. I think he was All-Pro multiple times. Pro Bowl multiple times. I would say it was a good run.”
Sirianni also revealed that he and general manager Howie Roseman were on the same page regarding Brown’s future with the franchise.
“Howie and I discuss everything as you know,” Sirianni said. “… So many things that (Brown) did that (were) good for our football team and always will wish him the best of luck.
“This is a team game. … In every decision that I make and the decisions that Howie makes, we talk to each other about it.”
With Brown now headed to New England, the Eagles will be relying on the likes of DeVonta Smith and first round pick Makai Lemon to try and offset the loss of Brown.
